Last February 2018, Magnifico co-star Jiro Manio and Isabelle de Leon had a mini reunion.

Maraming salamat sa pag buhat mo sakin 11 years ago kuya jiro! pero hayaan mo na ikaw naman ang buhatin namin ngayon..hindi naging madali ang buhay, pero tandaan mo na hindi nasusukat ang tao sa kanyang pag bagsak..Kung hindi sa kung paano tayong babangon mula dito.. 💪🏻 maaring di tayo nakita ni direk maryo sa muli nating pag ta-tagpo..but im sure naka ngiti sya mula sa langit sa muli mong pagbabalik! Hinihintay ka ng industriyang nag ma-mahal sayo! ❤️


Magnifico is a 2003 award-winning film and it made Jiro Manio an acclaimed child star.

Magnifico gained international acclaim as an indie film in major international film festivals gaining 31 wins and 11 other nominations. 

It won the Crystal Bear for the 2004 Berlin International Film Festival Children's Category as well as the Deutsches Kinderhilfswerk Grand Prix. In the same year, it also garnered seven major awards in the FAMAS Awards, seven awards in the Gawad Urian Awards, seven awards in the Golden Screen Awards and six awards in the FAP Awards in its home country. 


In 2011, the Gawad Urian Awards Committee proclaimed Magnifico as the "Best Film of the Decade". It received positive reviews from film critics. Currently, it holds a 63% "fresh" rating from Rotten Tomatoes.

But turns of event didn't favor the young actor as he got himself in some serious personal issues.

Jiro Manio been in and out of rehabilitaion for his personal battle. His on screen mother Ai-ai delas helped her 'son' Sammy, Jiro's name in Tanging Ina movie with every battle he's in. 


Comedian Ai-Ai delas Alas and other artists offered Jiro their help to get his life back on the right track.


On Ai-ai's Instagram account, she uploaded a video of a surprised birthday celebration for Jiro Manio.

Manio fathered two daughters named Sisha Calliope and Mishka Caxiopeia out of wedlock with his longtime partner.
